How to obtain a dosimeter:
Personal dosimeter for employed and associated members of the personnel
(You must follow the appropriate CERN radiation protection training (radiation protection supervised area and sensibilisation), read and signed the CERN Personal Dosimeter - Reception Form pdf)
Personal dosimeter for contractors' personnel
To get your dosimeter, please come to Building 55 R-004 between 8:30 and 12:00, Monday to Friday
Please ensure that you meet all the cited requirements and provide all the listed documents before coming to pick up your dosimeter!
Procedure in case of damaged/lost/stolen dosimeter:
Replacement of a damaged/lost/stolen dosimeter: EDMS 1430228 V.10

If the personal dosimeter (DIS) is broken, lost, stolen or has got wet, please go to the Dosimetry Service to report it and replace it.
For MPE/MPA, the damaged/lost/stolen dosimeter should be paid by the employer’s Department (CHF 350.-).
For contractor’s members, it will be discussed between CERN and its contractor to see who is at fault, whether it is really negligence or whether it is debatable. -
If the operational dosimeter (DMC) is broken, lost, stolen or has got wet, same procedure as for the personal dosimeter (CHF 600.-)
